Boom Buddy Review: Mrs P Visits Artisan Bean Co, Belper

Updated: Mar 7

"This week I took little P out to meet up with some mummy friends and their babies. We went to Artisan Bean which is in the Corn Exchange shopping arcade (formally Hacketts night club if you're old enough like me to remember that!) behind Boots on Belper High Street.

We made the most of their half price cuppa offer that's in the latest edition of Boom. Luckily, I was able to use the offer on any cuppa so I opted for a refreshing peppermint tea.

The café is light, airy and modern. It was originally quite restricted on space but has had a new extended seating area, which looks lovely and inviting, with the addition of some comfy arm chairs. This meant there was a bit more room for us mammas with pushchairs. The large circular table we sat at is perfect for keeping hot drinks away from inquisitive little hands!

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, even getting the door for us as we entered and left. There are baby changing facilities in the toilets and high chairs available: all essentials now I have a mini me in tow. The cake counter was full of tasty treats and I would highly recommend the bakewell tart which was a good portion size and for a reasonable price. We'll definitely return in the future to sample more from the menu!"

One of Belper's newest independent coffee shops, Artisan Bean Co. brings a fresh experience to the town, set in the heart of the Corn Exchange. It has great drinks and great eats too, including the best toasties in town, hearty soups and breads. Follow them on Instagram @artisanbeanco

The P Family live in Derbyshire with their soon-to-be 1-year-old daughter.
